So when a thief broke into someone’s home and stole a memory card that contained pictures of their dog’s final day alive, the anonymous pet owner was left heartbroken.
In an attempt to retrieve the pictures, the owner posted a letter requesting that the thief please return the memory card anonymously.

So when a thief broke into someone’s home and stole a memory card that contained pictures of their dog’s final day alive, the anonymous pet owner was left heartbroken.
In an attempt to retrieve the pictures, the owner posted a letter requesting that the thief please return the memory card anonymously.
The note, which was taped to a lamppost in Toronto, Canada, even says that whoever the thief is, can keep all of the other belongings they took – they just want the important memories of their dog back.
The note reads, “To the man who was in my house and robbed me. Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took. But if you have the memory card from the camera, please, it has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it. I cannot replace those photos. Please throw it onto the porch or put it in the mail slot. Or mail it. Please. She died a few days ago. I cannot lose those photos as well.”
Honestly, if this doesn’t make you cry, then you may have a serious problem because this is absolutely heartbreaking!
Naturally, the internet was beside itself with sadness for the writer of the letter, and as a result, the note has been trending like wildfire as people share it hoping to appeal to the robber.
This includes one Facebook user, Saoirse Morgan, who captioned the image, “Photo taken at Bloor and Lansdowne. This is simply heartbreaking. I hope this person does the right thing.”
Saoirse’s post alone has received more than 27,000 shares, with many people commenting messages of support on it – and this number is only growing.
Losing a pet is one of the hardest things in life, so losing your only pictures of them as well is just the cherry on top of a very, very s*** sundae.
We can only hope and pray that the criminal responsible sees this on social media somewhere and does the right thing.
So, thief if you’re reading this, return the memory card because I’m pretty sure if you don’t that’s a lot of bad karma coming your way.
