Renowned singer and actor Barbra Streisand has reiterated her intention to leave the country if a specific political candidate wins the presidency.
Streisand, a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton in 2016, expressed her dissatisfaction with the current administration and her reluctance to remain in the nation under such leadership during a recent interview on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.
During the conversation, Colbert asked Streisand about potential relocation options if she were to leave the country. In a casual manner, Streisand mentioned, “Probably England, I like England.”
She had previously mentioned her interest in moving to Canada or another country in the event of the same candidate being elected president in 2016, indicating that this sentiment is not entirely new.
Like many other celebrities, Streisand opted to stay in the United States after the 2016 election, despite her previous pledge to leave the country if the candidate won.
Following the election results, figures such as Cher, Bryan Cranston, and Amy Schumer, among others, made similar promises but ultimately decided to remain in the nation.
