Many people flee from Ukraine because of the military time in the country. But there are many people and animals that stayed in Ukraine.
Animals in Kiev Zoo also are still in Ukraine. The Zoo is closed for the visitors but the employees still continue to work and take care of these innocent animals.
The animals have been scared of the noises of bombs and heavy fighting that happens in the area. Kyiv Zoo is the biggest Zoo in Ukraine.
As there are animals who are afraid and are in a stressful state the staff moved the animals to the underground floor and indoor spaces.
The staff members stay in the Zoo even at night.There are 4,000 animals in the Kiev Zoo. There are almost 200 species of animals. The only gorilla named Tony is also in this Zoo.
The scared animals are also being examined by vets so that their terrified state will not harm them.
There are 50 employees who still continue to work and take care of the animals. The animals have heating, food, electricity and water.
Even two goats were born on February 27. Life goes on and they still go on fighting. Everybody hopes that there will be peace soon.
