A Dying Patient Had No One To Leave The Dog With, So The Nurse Decided To Intervene

A nurse from Georgia did her best to take care not only of a patient in the last days of her life, but also of her dog.

The dying patient had no one to leave her dog with, so the nurse intervened.

While Kimberly Still cared for the dying patient, she met her family and got to know her beloved chihuahua, Jax.

From what the patient told her, Still realised how much she loved Jax. Unfortunately, after the patient died, Jax had nowhere to go.

The dog ended up in an asylum outside Atlanta, putting it at risk of euthanasia.

When Still found out, she knew she had to do something about it immediately.

«The only property she owned in her life was this dog and she loved it so much and she had been with it for so many years,» Still told Inside Edition.

«And I thought, ‘Well, I’ve got to go and get that dog.»

She still intended to take Jax out of the orphanage and find a loving home for it.

Although she knew that the dog would not settle down until it found the perfect home, she did not realise that the perfect home for it would be hers.

Once she met Jax, she couldn’t stay without it. She immediately fell in love with Jax and realised that she had to adopt it herself.

Adopting Jax was the final act of compassion for the patient she had cared for so well.

Now she must take care of her patient’s beloved dog for the rest of its life.
However, she brought Jax home and introduced it to her other dog. Luckily, they immediately became friends and Jax fit in well with their family.
