Often dubbed as the saddest cat on the internet, meet BenBen. BenBen, poor thing, was destined for a bleak future in a shelter, likely ending in euthanasia.
His tale is even more heart-wrenching due to his disfigured ear, multiple severe wounds, and a fractured spine.
BenBen seemed to have had an altercation with a larger animal.
According to shelter staff, BenBen seemed to sense his grim fate. He showed no signs of wanting to persist; he wasn’t moving, eating, or drinking.
Upon learning about BenBen, a compassionate staff member at a vet clinic decided to give him a fresh start.
The transformation was truly astounding. Within hours of settling into his new home, BenBen’s entire demeanor changed!
As if expressing gratitude, he began purring, smiling, and seeking cuddles. It was as if he understood he had finally found safety and his forever home.
Despite the odds, BenBen started walking again, defying the doubts of the veterinarians. Soon enough, he was running and jumping instead of merely walking!
BenBen is no longer the saddest cat in the house, although he still requires pain medication. He has truly become a content feline.
