People are going to comfort scared shelter animals during fireworks, instead of going out on 4th of July

Dogs are afraid of noises that make fireworks or they are scared of the bright. The fireworks that ignite the sky in America every 4th of July.

An animal shelter in Phoenix, Arizona found his way of solution. This is a really brilliant idea.

The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control began a project called ” Calming companions” invited many people to come and calm the cats and the dogs during firework.

Nearly 200 people came with their blankets and chairs and sat near the shelter dogs and cats. They did everything posible to disturb the attention of dogs.

They played music, read books and attracted their attention with everything they could. They gave food and sang songs for them.

The aim of this project went successful. This kind of events should be repeated.

Maricopa County Animal Care and Control works hard to achieve his goal reuniting owner with their dogs and tring to find a foerever home for homeless dogs. If you want to adopt a dog or help get in touch with them.
