Fortunately, the tale we’re about to share has a happy ending — but seeing the impact that being abandoned had on one dog is incredibly heartbreaking, so bring tissues!
Our story begins in Dallas with Camilla, a cute puppy. Camilla’s parents were in the process of moving, and they had left mountains of trash outside their property for the garbage collectors to pick up.
A pile of things is made up of old things and things that are no longer needed by the family.Camilla was one of these anomalies.
The unfortunate puppy had been thrown like a piece of trash, literally amidst the trash outside her house.
Her owners were so unconcerned about her well-being that they hadn’t even given her food or drink. Her only source of solace was her blanket.
To make matters worse, the timing couldn’t have been more unfortunate. It was New Year’s Eve, a time when loved ones gather to celebrate the start of a new year. While everyone else was gathering in their homes and throwing celebrations, Camilla was out on the street, afraid and alone.
Instead of seeking food or a safe haven, the devoted dog remained on her blanket, waiting for her owners to return. Camilla is undoubtedly perplexed as to why her family abandoned her. Dogs are only used to offering love. But they never returned.
Marina chatted with other neighbors in the vicinity and learned that Camilla had definitely been abandoned. She was now in charge of saving the puppy.
Rescuing a puppy is a difficult process. She was presumably afraid of strangers and hesitant to leave without her family.
The poor little animal had neck injuries, which the vet suspected were caused by a struggle with another dog. Camilla is still learning to trust people, but she is much happier now than she was when she was abandoned outside her house. The sweet girl has been placed in a foster family and is now looking for her forever home.
“She’s doing fantastic. Her personality is gradually emerging, and she is beginning to trust,” Patti told The Dodo.
